How to Get From Paris to Rouen

It is easy to get from Paris to Rouen (Normandy).

By Train you can leave either from Saint Lazare Train Station or Gare du Nord Station. The journey will take anywhere between a little over one hour to a little over two hours depending on which time you leave Paris/what train you take.

Tickets start at as little as $12 (one way) but remember that it’s always more expensive to book at the last minute. Either way the tickets shouldn’t cost more than $30 maximum (and this is a last minute one way ticket on the day of departure…)

By Car from Paris to Rouen

Renting a car in Paris is something I’ve never wanted to hassle with. I’d prefer to take a train out of Paris and then rent a car once I get wherever I’m going.

But, if you are flying into and out of Paris and need a car for your trip it might be a smart idea to grab a car at the airport when you arrive. This is what my friends did when they came to visit me while I was staying in Normandy, and drove from Paris to Rouen and it worked out very well.

The drive time between Paris and Rouen is anywhere from just under two hours to two and a half hours. Depending on traffic…

At both Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports you have plenty of in-terminal options for car rentals such as Avis, Budget, Europcar (my personal favorite), Enterprise and more..
